Market ledger · 13 selected target markets
Start with the market where you would otherwise contract. Every row represents a remote direct B2B Full Stack Mid benchmark for an eight-hour day, excluding VAT, recruiter markup, equipment, travel, overtime, and employee benefits. Lower and upper values are modeled scenarios, not statistical percentiles. The confidence label tells you where the evidence is strong and where more diligence is sensible.

XFINIT source of truth
These are XFINIT list prices from the live published version, not examples typed into marketing copy. A calculation reads the same version and applies commercial rules in a fixed order. Role, seniority, team size, duration, and the protected minimum for each seat can all affect the final rate.
Treat the ledger as a planning baseline. It supports transparent comparison while leaving room for a written proposal to confirm specialist availability, technical calibration, delivery scope, security obligations, and start date. See the Team Augmentation Pricing Guide for the commercial model behind the numbers.

Cost bridge · one team, five markets
The comparison below keeps the team constant: two Mid Frontend engineers, one Lead Backend engineer, and two Senior Data Scientists for twelve months. Only the local contractor market and its currency change. Each amount is generated by the same production pricing engine used by the calculator, using the live pricing version and stored FX observation. It is a sensitivity exercise, not a promise that every hiring plan will produce a saving.

A low-cost local market, uncommon skill mix, short engagement, or unfavorable exchange rate can make XFINIT the premium option. The calculator labels that result as a premium and shifts the decision toward capacity reliability, replacement risk, delivery support, and access to scarce skills. It never converts a negative saving into a positive marketing claim.
Calculation contract
First, choose the country where you are considering direct contractor capacity. Add up to twenty distinct role-and-seniority lines, enter whole-FTE quantities, and choose an approved three, six, twelve, or twenty-four month duration. The same configuration is then costed twice: once against that country’s direct B2B contractor benchmark and once against the current XFINIT Romania rate card.
For the local side, a country day-rate anchor is adjusted by the published role and seniority factors, multiplied by twenty planning days, and then multiplied by quantity. The engine calculates lower, benchmark, and upper scenarios independently. Those bands express model sensitivity. They do not claim to be survey percentiles, and they do not include agency markup, VAT, employee benefits, travel, overtime, or the buyer’s internal management time.
For XFINIT, each monthly seat starts at its role-and-seniority list price. Volume and duration incentives stack multiplicatively, the combined automatic discount is capped at eighteen percent, and the protected seat floor is applied before each seat is rounded to EUR cents. The team is summed only after that per-seat calculation. For non-EUR markets, the aggregate is converted once using the stored ECB reference-rate snapshot. Percentages are calculated from unrounded values.
This order matters. Adding percentages arithmetically, converting every line separately, or applying a team-wide floor would produce a different answer. Keeping one server-authoritative engine makes the interactive result, worked scenarios, saved estimates, and future canonical pricing blocks reproducible from their version and FX references.
Delivery context
Cost is only useful when the team can communicate and keep delivery moving. Romania scored 605 and ranked eleventh in the EF English Proficiency Index 2025, placing it in the report’s very-high-proficiency band. That voluntary-test index is a directional signal, not proof of any individual engineer’s fluency, so XFINIT still validates communication during selection.
Team composition is another part of the talent picture. Eurostat reported that women represented 27.8% of Romania’s employed ICT specialists in 2025, the highest share among EU countries in that release. The same release put ICT specialists at 2.7% of Romanian employment, below the EU-wide 5.0% share, which is a useful counterweight to simplistic claims about unlimited supply. See the Eurostat ICT-specialist release.
Romania is an EU member state and supports practical overlap with European working days. For buyers, the more important question is operational: can the provider supply the exact seniority, product judgment, domain knowledge, security posture, and continuity your roadmap needs? Use the guide to choosing a Romanian software partner to evaluate those factors beyond the cost bridge.
Budget variables
QA, application engineering, cloud, data, AI, and architecture do not share one market price. Scarce production expertise normally carries a different baseline and a different protected minimum.
A Mid specialist delivering within a defined system is not commercially equivalent to a Lead who shapes architecture, mentors others, and owns ambiguous technical decisions.
Larger teams can improve planning economics, but the realized discount depends on each seat floor. A headline tier should never be multiplied blindly across every specialist.
Longer funded work can justify a duration incentive. It can also create waste when the need is temporary, the roadmap is uncertain, or the role should become permanent.
The alternative cost begins in the market where you would hire. Stored ECB reference rates make unlike currencies comparable without pretending to be settlement quotes.
Equipment, travel, overtime, unusual compliance, delivery leadership, and specialist availability may change a final proposal. The public calculator states its boundaries instead of hiding them in a footnote.
Decision boundary
A permanent, core role with stable multi-year demand may be cheaper and healthier as a direct hire. A well-defined project with no internal product owner may need a managed delivery team rather than individual augmented seats. A tiny intermittent task may suit a freelancer. And if your managers cannot onboard, prioritize, review, and give context, adding people can increase coordination cost without increasing throughput. The right comparison includes operating model, not just monthly rate.
From plan to capacity
Share the roadmap, role outcomes, seniority, collaboration model, security constraints, and target start. A precise problem produces a more useful shortlist than a stack-only request.
XFINIT confirms role fit, availability, working rhythm, and exact commercial scope. The live calculator estimate provides context; the written proposal is the binding commercial artifact.
You assess the specialists who will join your team. They work in your tools, backlog, reviews, and product cadence while responsibilities remain explicit on both sides.
Delivery health, role fit, continuity, and future scale are reviewed instead of treating seat count as success. Capacity can change when funded work and evidence change.
Evidence register
Market data was last reviewed on 23 Aug 2026. XFINIT prices come from the current Finance-approved rate card. External sources remain the owners of their data and may revise their pages after this review.
The reference persona is a remote direct B2B Full Stack Mid contractor with three-to-seven years of experience at national-market scope. Anchors exclude VAT, recruiter or agency markup, travel, overtime, equipment, and employee benefits. Global role and seniority factors model other combinations. When suitable direct country-role-seniority evidence differs from the modeled result by more than the published override threshold, the stored direct evidence can replace the factor model and carries its own provenance.
Currency conversion uses an immutable European Central Bank snapshot quoted as currency units per EUR. ECB reference rates are informational and are not settlement rates. The calculator warns after the approved freshness threshold and blocks new calculations when the latest snapshot is too old, rather than fetching a live rate during a request or inventing a fallback.
Every estimate is non-binding. Lower and upper scenarios communicate sensitivity; they are not described as percentiles. Historic shared estimates keep their pricing version and FX observation so later rate changes do not rewrite an earlier decision.

Source records also retain data type, experience definition, work-mode scope, geographic scope, VAT and agency treatment, band type, population note, and review date. The list above contains 18 country-source references; repeated sources support more than one market where the stored evidence says so.
Buyer questions
These answers are visible page content. The page intentionally does not add FAQ rich-result markup, reviews, or ratings.
It can. The published policy applies a 3% volume discount at two FTE and increases through the approved tiers to 15% at twenty or more FTE. Duration and volume incentives stack multiplicatively, their combined automatic effect is capped, and a protected rate floor can reduce the realized discount for a particular role. The calculator shows both the contractual and realized discount so procurement does not have to infer the final economics from a headline percentage.
The current rate card adds a duration incentive at six, twelve, and twenty-four months. A three-month engagement has no duration discount. Longer commitments can improve planning and continuity, but the calculator does not assume that a longer contract is automatically the right decision. Select only a duration that matches funded roadmap work and an exit plan your team can support.
The public number is the monthly Team Augmentation price for one full-time specialist under the stated twenty-day, eight-hour planning model. It is not an employee salary and it is not an hourly freelancer wage. Exact commercial scope, start date, role calibration, equipment, travel, overtime, taxes, and any unusual compliance requirement are confirmed in the proposal before a binding commitment.
Yes. The calculator supports mixed teams across frontend, backend, full stack, mobile, QA, automation, cloud, data, AI, and architecture. Each role and seniority combination is priced independently, then quantity, volume, duration, floors, and FX are applied in the documented order. Solution Architect is available at Senior and Lead / Principal levels, not Mid.
It is a planning estimate, not a quote. XFINIT rates come from the current immutable published version; contractor benchmarks come from dated sources and a transparent role-and-seniority model; currency conversion uses a stored ECB reference-rate snapshot. The lower, benchmark, and upper views make uncertainty visible. Direct evidence can replace a modeled value when the documented override rule is met.
Romania can combine European legal alignment, strong professional English, engineering specialisms, and practical collaboration with teams across Europe. Those advantages do not guarantee a lower price in every scenario. Use the calculator first, then evaluate engineering fit, communication, continuity, security, and the delivery responsibilities that remain with your own product organization.
