NTT Data opens 12MW JKT2A data center in Indonesia
NTT Data has opened the Jakarta 2 Annex Data Center, known as JKT2A, in Indonesia.
The 12MW facility is part of NTT’s Jakarta Campus. The company said it uses advanced cooling technologies and is designed to support hyperscale, enterprise, and high-density workloads.
Plans for JKT2A were announced in May 2024. The seven-story facility covers 5,800 square meters (62,430 square feet) and supports rack densities of up to 40kW.
Alongside the opening, NTT launched APN Connect, which it describes as Indonesia’s first service to use All-Photonics Network technology. The service will provide low-latency connectivity between JKT2A and JKT3, supporting real-time data synchronization between the two facilities.
Yasuhiro Kajiki, managing director for Japan and APAC at NTT Global Data Centers, said the opening marked an important milestone for the company’s business in Indonesia. He added that expanding capacity and connecting the facilities through APN Connect would provide clients with a more connected data center platform and greater flexibility as their infrastructure requirements change.
Doug Adams, president and CEO of NTT Global Data Centers, said Indonesia’s expanding digital economy was driving demand for scalable and highly connected digital infrastructure. He said JKT2A, together with APN Connect, would support clients’ cloud, AI, and digital transformation initiatives through resilient, high-performance infrastructure.
